PLAY HELPER MT ISA

Playgroup Queensland is currently seeking a Play Helper to assist at the Playgroup in the Park project. The group meet every Tuesday morning at Selwyn Park in Mount Isa. The role of Play Helper is to assist the Playgroup Support Worker in facilitating age appropriate play activities for families with children under school age. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following:

• friendly and approachable attitude
• welcoming to all families of different cultures confident to support parents to engage actively in their child's play
• confident to support parents to engage actively in their child's play
• show initiative in the day to day running of the playgroup session
• reliable and on time

The successful applicant must obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

The position is casual, 4 hours per week, under the Social Community Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award (QLD) 2010 at level 1.3.
