Playgroups in the Park
The Mount Isa Playgroups in the Park and Outreach program delivers 2 mobile playgroup sessions a week at Gardner and Selwyn Parks along with 3 visits a term to the outlying communities of Camooweal, Cloncurry and Dajarra. The purpose of the program is to engage locally with vulnerable and disadvantaged families to provide activities for families in the Mount Isa region to support improved parenting and school readiness. The program also supports the more remote communities of Camooweal, Cloncurry and Dajarra and assists local people by providing ongoing professional development regularly throughout the school term.
