I am a school
Community Playgroups meet once or twice a week for up to two hours in venues such as community centres, halls, parks and the homes of playgroup families. Community Playgroups welcome all families regardless of culture, social or economic backgrounds.
Community Playgroups are delivered by parents/carers with Playgroup Queensland’s early childhood qualified staff providing support, resources and follow up through visits, phone calls and online communication.
Play Steps is an early years play-based program that sees playgroups delivered in schools. Founded on the strengths-based playgroup model where parents stay, play and learn with their child, Play Steps playgroups are places for children and their families to practise learning skills in a nurturing, safe space within a school environment. The Play Steps program provides online training to facilitators and gives schools access to an amazing digital toolkit with tip sheets, resources and activities.
